OUR MISSIONS PROGRAM
Being involved in missions is a major part of our church. The missions program is funded entirely by Faith Promise giving. The Lord has greatly blessed us and currently we support 78 missionaries. Since missionary support involves far more than just money, we have an adopt-a-missionary program to help fill that need. We also take mission trips to allow the church people to be personally involved as missionaries.
We have choirs for both adults and children. The adult choir sings every Sunday in the morning service and the children’s choir sings during the evening service once a month.
Young people from the 7th to the 12th grade can participate in our youth group. We have meetings at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday and 7pm on Wednesday. There are many get-togethers to be a part of.
Homeschoolers from all over the area come two times a week to this unique ministry. The program provides classes that would otherwise be impossible to get at home like choir, home ec, drama and shop. Click here for more info.
We have a Junior Church for 6th grade and under. The children sit with their parents until midway through the morning service and are then dismissed to their different classes.
7:00-8:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Children K-6th grade have a fun-filled evening of Bible stories, memorization of Bible verses and games.
The church is involved in many outreach ministries. There are weekly ministries to Bethel Mission, Polk County Juvenile Detention Center, Fresh Start Ladies Correctional Facility, Fort Des Moines Correctional Institution, as well as monthly nursing home services.
